A Few Things I've Learned About Williston and North Dakota in General

~Practically everyone drives a new 4 wheel drive pick-up, usually with a camper or boat attached

~Every young person I see has about four kids in tow and are pregnant as well (don't worry, I am avoiding drinking the water)

~The population in Williston is outgrowing the town, you have to wait in lines everywhere

~The accents you heard in the movie "Fargo" are for REAL

~Sunsets in the plains are way beyond what we see in the mountains

~As well as the thunderstorms

~I've yet to find a place that serves fish tacos

~People still smoke in North Dakota, and even smoke inside public places!

~The mosquitos aren't as bad as I initially thought...but, we'll see what happens now after it has rained for two days

~It's hard to stay awake while traveling across the state. Even Tage could not keep his eyes open, and he NEVER sleeps in the car

~The sun stays up until almost 11:00 in July

~There is awesome bird watching in ND, not only birds of prey, but huge water birds too

~Everyone has immaculate flower beds with unique yard decorations, like old trikes, desks, watering cans, chairs, wagon wheels, ect. (I've got alot to learn and some major work to do)

~People must love to eat liver and onions, it is on every menu and even was a lunch special at the grocery store deli today

~Dill Pickle chips are the bomb!

...is that we're moving....
Away from Bozeman, away from our friends, and out of Montana all together...sniffle (honestly, I almost got choked up when following a car with 406 on the window and the realization that I'm leaving my home state for the first time ever)

So I thought I would make a list of the things that I will miss most about beautiful Bozeman:

~First and foremost, of course, Miss Chandra Fellon, really I'm not sure how'll we'll live without my best friend and the kiddos favorite daily visitor. Tagey exclaims "RARA, RaRa" as soon as he sees her car and Huntlie just exclaims!

~Herbie! Our go to babysitter and Justin's best friend. We're really going to miss him. One of Huntlie's first words is "Joel" for goodness sake!

~The Cozy Nest therapy center....I mean really, how can we replace the best!

~Highland Montessori School~the best preschool ever and my all time favorite job. I was SO hoping my kids could go there and that someday I could go back to work there. Leaving Bozeman without being able to give my kids that type of early education is heartbreaking.

~Dr. Hansen and her nurse Kass~I seriously talk to these people practically every week about the most important thing...Tage's health. It is going to be so tough to find someone we trust as much.

~The awesome and spectacular views! Driving around town today doing errands, I could not get over how beautiful this place is. Bright green valleys, super big blue sky, and the most magnificent snow capped peaks. Love that~!

~The Bogert Farmer's Market

A Few of My Favorite Memorial Day Moments

We're so excited that cold and flu season is over and that we can safely travel with Tage! Over Memorial Day weekend, we traveled to the Flathead Valley to visit Justin's brother, his wife, and their 3 boys (an 11 year old and 12 year old twins). What an awesome trip, despite the rain! I wanted to share a few of my favorite moments...

~As Huntlie and I were eating breakfast one morning, Lukas ran by and Huntlie spontaneously did the sign for "friend." Melt my heart cute!

~Tage went into Courtney and Jen's room one morning to visit them while they were waking up and signed "Uncle" for Courtney.

~Tanner called Tage and Huntlie his "best little buddies" and helped them put their sockies on.

~We loved hearing Logan play his violin for us.

~It was so funny to pack up the van with all 5 kids and listen to the goofy big boys singing songs from Tage and Huntlie's Signing Times video.
~I loved the familiar roads, sights, and smells of Lakeside.

~It was great to see my husband and his brother hanging out together again, acting like geeks and doing man stuff like splitting logs and building fence.

~I loved seeing Huntlie rest her head on Uncle Courtney's shoulder.

~Jen made her delicious taco salad, yet again! :0)

~It was so great to see Justin's aunt and uncle and cousin and laugh around the bon fire.

~I absolutely LOVE backyard bon fires.
~We had so much fun talking about and getting excited about another nephew on the way!

~It was great to see the hubby playing with Lukas, Logan, and Tanner...even if they were playing Slap Pong and came upstairs with welts on their backs. Super cute to hear them call him "Uncle Justin."
All in all, we had a fantastic weekend and it remineded me of how important family time is. We love our Flathead family and can't wait until the next get together. We decided try to make a Memorial Day Weekend an annual Carrier family event!

Now I'm 2, Look what I can do...

Gross Motor...

~ I love to crawl all over and I really love to crawl FAST!
~It's so fun to crawl through little spaces like under tables, benches, and toys. I crawl under and around everything until my cannula's are pulled tight on my nose and then I have to holler for help to get untangled!
~ I'm getting pretty strong now because when I crawl crazy Huntlie always trys to ride on me or climb all over me. I think she likes me, but man she makes me angry sometimes.
~ I can pull myself up to standing.
~ I just learned how to 'cruise' around the furniture! I still need to get a little stronger and work on my balance, but hopefully I'll be walking soon! I can't wait to get that Huntlie back!
~ I love to walk while someone holds my arms. I also like to walk to push my trucks around, but need an adult to stay close to help a little.
~ I can push anything around while on my tall knees.
~ I like to play catch with a big bouncy ball. I can actually catch the ball all by myself sometimes.
~ We have a basketball hoop just my size and when I'm standing next to it, I can slam dunk it! I have the hugest hands and can 'palm' all our basketballs!
~ I'm working pretty hard these days and usually have a few bruises on my forehead to show for it. (if not from face plants, they're from my sister.)
~I work with the best physical therapist twice a week.

Fine Motor and Tactile...

~ I still love to play with blocks and can make even taller towers now.
~ I can put all of the rings on my Melissa and Doug ring stacker.
~ When someone shows me the right spot, I love to put the shapes into my shapes sorters.
~ I have a new race track and it's so fun to put the cars on the track and watch them race to the finish.
~ I love to write on my Magnadoodle!
~ I still really enjoy looking at books, pointing to the pictures, and turning the pages. Some of my favorite books are touch and feel books and books with flaps to peek under.
~ I have awesome occupational therapists who come three times a week. Sometimes I play in dry rice and beans with them. I'd rather pick up each bean one by one than stick my hands in too deep.
~ I also like to play in squishy stuff like shaving cream, pudding, cool whip, and Birthday Cake!
~ I love bath time and think its so fun to splash mommy and daddy.
Speech...

~I'm trying to talk all the time now. Sometimes, I have to yell really loud to be heard over my little sister.
~ I know about 20 words in sign language and can say 20 or so words with my voice too. I can even say Hunt and Hannah, and just today I said Tage pretty darn good!
~ I can say some two syllable words like 'yellow,' 'purple,' 'amen,' and 'bubble.'
~My friend,(I just learned the sign for 'friend' last week!) Jill, comes over to play and do speech therapy twice a week.

Eating...

~Eating is tough, but I'm slowly getting better and better.
~ I usually eat yogurt or oatmeal with applesauce for breakfast and that is my favorite meal. I like sweet and fruity foods best!
~ Mommy and Daddy puree lots of good food for me to try so for lunch and dinner, I usually eat pureed chicken, turkey, or pork, a pureed vegetable, and applesauce. I just discovered that sour cream makes everything better!
~ I've recently been trying lots of new things like cottage cheese, avocado, hard boiled egg yolk, mom's pasta with marinara, and homemade split pea soup. I don't mind trying new things as long as mommy and daddy smash it up really good.
~ I love to drink water or milk with my bottle, I'm not too sure about juice yet. I can use a #3 nipple now and I'm working on drinking from a cup too.
~ A couple weeks ago at the doctor, our nurse gave me my first lollipop and I sure liked licking that.
~ I'm also getting much better at brushing teeth. Mom brushes before each meal to desensitize and before bed. Just this week we tried a spinning brush and I love it! I even like to brush my own teeth with that. (by the way, I have two molars now!)

I'm 8 months old !..... ( by Huntlie Carrier)

I am now 8 months old and I'm learning to do many new things!

~I am about 18 pounds 10 ounces! My brother forgot to tell you that he's about 26 pounds 8 ounces.

~My hair is blond now and sticks straight up on top. It's soft and fuzzy and feathery. Even Tage and I like to touch my hair. (Sometimes I pull Tage's curly blond hair:0)

~I can sit up all by myself and you better watch out because nothing is safe around me! I can reach REALLY far in all directions and once I find something, I will immediately chew it like a beaver!

~I have two teeth, and I love them!

~I can now eat baby crackers all by myself. (Baby Mum-mums are the best!)

~I also have eaten a little bit of ice cream, a french fry, toast, avocado, and a slice of homegrown tomato.

~I like to try to hold my own bottle.

~Tage JUST taught me how to clap my hands yesterday!

~I love to dance to music!

~I can sing too! and scream, yell, growl, and blow raspberries. (sometimes I like to blow my food all over the place too :0)

~Sometimes, I can sit still enough to make it through a whole book when mommy reads!

~I'm getting pretty good with my hands, and am good at grabbing stuff with my feet too!

~I like to make changing my diaper a challange for mommy and daddy. I squirm, wiggle, roll over, scoot, and pull on my diaper with my hands and feet!

~I really want to learn how to crawl. For now, I think the best way to get from one spot to another is to scoot, on my back with only my head and feet touching the ground.

~When Tage is on his hands and knees, mommy puts me on my hands and knees too, and now I can hold myself up almost as long as Tagey.

~I kindof like to torture my brother. I really love to pull and chew on his oxygen tubing. Sometimes we have oxygen tubing tug of wars.
~Tage always finds the coolest toys to play with so as soon as he gets a toy, I try to rip it from his hands.

~ I love jumping in the jumparoo or the baby bungee! I finally learned how to actually jump now. I've been intently watching Tage do it for months.
~I still love to stand up as much as possible. I can stand by myself against the couch, ottoman, or wagon for quite a while without falling.

~I love to go places with my family. I even squeal and get excited when mommmy and daddy fill Tage's travel liquid O2 tank. It's loud and when that gets filled, I know we are going on a feild trip! ~My favorite things are...Tage, my metal bowl of golf balls, my pink teddy bear in jammies, Tage's fire truck, my baby dolls, and our blocks. I also love my cold 'chewies' for teething.

I'm 20 months old now and I'm learning to do so many things!

~I can sit up all by my self to play with my toys. I can even reach toys that are really far away!
~When I'm laying on my back, I can just roll over onto my tummy, real quick now. (it's really fun to do this when mama or dada is trying to change my diaper :0)
~Once I'm on my tummy, I can pretty much crawl up onto my hands and knees with only a little help!
~On my hands and knees, I like to bounce and imagine myself crawling...I can crawl with my arms when someone helps with my legs. Pretty soon I'll be crawling all by myself and then Huntlie better hold onto her toys!
~Sometimes I like to play with my toys sitting on my knees. This takes good balance.
~Speaking of Balance....I am getting stronger and stronger at balancing when I swing, sit on a bench, and sit on a therapy disc or big ball.
~I like to stand up when my mom or dad holds my hands. I'm starting to stand up straighter and I'm really tall! Wait till you see what I'll be able to do after my spine gets fixed in Denver.

~Hey, I'm learning to communicate better!
~I can say all these words with my hands...'please', 'more', 'water', 'all done', 'up', I can blow kisses, wave hi and bye, clap my hands, and point to things.
~I like to practice saying my sounds too. I try hard to say words like, mom, more, dad, duck, dog, book, ball, bubbles, boom, lion, up, nnnnnn
~I could even tell you what sounds a horse and a sheep make! I know what a cow says too and say mmm, but the O sound is a little tricky still.
~I still like to read books and can point to lots of things in pictures. I like eyes and teeth best!
~I can point to my own hair, tummy, toes, eyes, nose, mouth, and ears...but only when I feel like it. hehehe

~Oh ya, I can do lots of other things with my hands now too!
~I am just learning how to stack blocks on top of each other. I like to watch mom or dad make BIG towers. I have such control that I like to observe the build and check out the tower for a while before I gently knock it over! :0)
~That's fun, but I really like to put things in boxes and bowls....and then shake em!
~I think it's cool to "reel in" things, you know, like my oxygen tubes and pulse ox. My new pull toy puppy and Angie's alligator are fun to reel in too.
~I'm even getting better at putting the big puzzle pieces back in.

~I'm learning how to eat now.
~I LOVE to drink water from my bottle. I like milk, juice, and even my formula too.
~And I'm working on eating baby food. My favorite seems to be apples with blueberries. I took 25 bites in a row last week.

10 Things I'm Loving....

My friend Hillary just did a blog post on the 10 things she's loving right now and I loved that idea. What a great way to reflect on the blessings in life today! So, here is my list of
"Ten Things I'm Loving Today...."

1. I absolutely Love my beautiful orange Anniversary flowers. They brighten our house! I also loved celebrating 7 years of marriage.

2. I love hearing the squeals of excitement when Tage hears his travel oxygen tank being filled. He loves to get out and about.

3. I love long walks on beautiful summer days.

4. I love shopping and finding great sales!

5. I love the quiet times nursing and snuggling with Huntlie...even those in the middle of the night.

6. I love good barbecue!

7. I love visits from old friends and family.

8. I love the Farmer's market.....Kettle Corn, Flathead Cherries, Pixie Boutique, Ona's pottery, Hot Mama Salsa, taste tests from Miller farms and Senoritas, and the little violinists (just to mention a few of my faves)!

9. I love living in a house with NO stairs!

10. I'm actually surprisingly enjoying life with No digital cable. I rarely turn the TV on anymore.

Tage-18 months

Tage is now 18 months and approaching 24 pounds! He has really been learning alot of things lately. He now is able to eat some things with a spoon. He likes fruits like apples and pears best and has also had bites of prunes, bananas, peaches, green beans, sweet potatoes, and carrots! He also loves to drink water and juice out of a sippy cup or bottle. He'll drink a couple ounces at a time now! These are huge accomplishments.
He is able to sit up alone for extended periods of time to play now. He prefers to sit up on the floor most of the day. He also is able to hold himself up on his hands and knees for a few minutes at a time. He is getting pretty strong.
He has learned to point to things, still claps alot, squeals and shows his excitement when we go places, he loves to play "So Big," and waves Hi and Bye. We are working with a speech therapist for communication and still goes to OT and PT a few times a week. He sure works hard and we are very proud of his accomplishments. He's doing great.
Oh ya, notice all that hair! and he now has about 7 teeth with two more coming in soon.

Huntlie- 6 months

Huntlie is six months! She's approaching 17 pounds! She is growing fast and loves to eat baby food now. She eats 3 meals a day and likes pretty much everything. Peas and bananas weren't here favorite at first. She is getting better and better at balancing and can sit alone for quite a while now. She lost her long darker hair and is now getting some blond fuzz back. She is pretty wild! She is trying to use her hands more now and will swat at and try to get anything and everything!

We finally dared to organize our oxygen and take a vacation to Plentywood to visit my mom and step-dad. We enjoyed a week and a half visiting with family, showing off the babies, touring the town and our farm, and hanging out with friends. It was good to be back home again.

What's Tage Been Up To Lately?

Tage still loves his jumper and thinks it is so fun to teach Huntlie how to jump and it's pretty cool to jump outside too.

Love this photo of Tager intently reading. I give him choices of what he wants to play with now. It was so neat to see him choose to look at his book over playing with his loud steering wheel. What a cutie!

Tage LOVES to be outside! He gets excited when he can tell we're packing up to move out to the porch or go on a car ride. He is really talking alot now...not many real words but making a ton of sounds and he uses different voices too. He has another tooth on the bottom and one about to pop through on the top too. He is about 21 and a half pounds. Weve been trying to switch him over to a "big kid" formula which is a little tricky with his sensitive tummy and new pooper! His oxygen is still up and down all the time and now his electolytes have been a bit messed up so we've been to the doctor every week since coming home from Denver to get his blood drawn. Last week, when Tage went back to get his finger poked, we heard a little girl say to her mom "Mama, that little boy is very brave." How cute and boy is she right. Tage doesn't even cry when he gets blood drawn anymore.

What's Huntlie been up to?

This picture was taken today of Huntlie and is perfect to show her silly side. She has quite a personality these days and is either laughing and having fun or completely ticked off! She sure knows what she wants and how she wants it. Her giggles, coos, and all the silly faces are so cute and almost make us forget about her picky, crabby side! Ha!

Her first time eating rice cereal! She wasn't quite sure about how to swallow or keep any of it in her mouth at first, but after a few tries she's loving it now.

Huntlie is almost 15 pounds...catching Tage fast! She loves to eat and has the cutest baby rolls. She is starting to play with toys and grab things. Completely opposite of Tage, she drools all the time and loves to put things in her mouth. She's trying hard to learn how to jump in a jumparoo. She watches Tage intently and really presses down on her tippy toes, but just can't quite jump yet. It is so cute to watch her look up to him and concentrate so hard.!

March For Babies 2009

Thank you all so much for your donations for the March for Babies. We had such a great time and got a good work out! The Bozeman area raised over 38,000 dollars for the March of Dimes. With your help, I was surprised to win a plaque for raising the 2nd most money as an individual. Crazy.

The weather for the walk was absolutely beautiful. Tage had a lot of fun and soaked up all of the attention! We were happy to have my mom, Justin's dad, Chandra, and her friend Jenna walk with us as Team Tagenator. Before the walk started, they read a little story about Tage. It was quite an honor to be nominated as Bozeman's March of Dimes Mission Family. Now Tage's poster will be on display every year.

At Home for a Year

Today is the one year anniversary of bringing Tage home from Denver. Leaving the security of our NICU doctors and nurses was one of the scariest yet happiest days of our lives. It is crazy all of the growth and changes that have happened in one year. (notice how big his G-tube looks next to him! Wow, he was tiny)

Just a tiny little peanut, a little over 5 pounds.

In only one year, our family photo has changed quite a bit!!!

Back in the Hospital

Tage was life flighted to the Children's Hospital in Denver this week because of a horrible respiratory cold. He was on 5 liters of oxygen and still only satting the in the high 80's. He is feeling much better now. Here are a few photos from his hospital stay. He is still in the hospital recovering and awaiting an upcoming reinostimosis surgery.

Huntlie is doing pretty good handling life with her big brother in the Children's Hospital.

Everyone's doing such a good job taking care of Tager and helping to make him feel better and cheering him up. This is his first popsicle ever. He surprisingly did a great job. We were trying to cool down a 102.5 fever. He had orange lips for 2 days afterwards.

Our First Easter Baskets

Mom and Chnadra "helped" Tage and Huntlie dye Easter eggs! Tage actually thought it was interesting for a little bit. He got to play with his own plastic eggs and of course a peacock.

Tage enjoyed opening a bunch of Easter surprises. Huntlie watched a bit too but was more interested in laying on the floor swatting at her jinggling toys. The bunny to her left is from Easter Bunny GG Marian and it sings "Here Comes Peter Cottontail." It scared the crap out of her! :0) Tage loves it so by about the seventh time hearing the song, she got used to it.

Here's a shot of so-cool Tage chillin on the deck in the beautiful Easter sunshine. He is in his walker, which, by the way, he can now scoot all over the house in...backwards!

This is Huntlie trying on a funny bonnet that Grandma Robby sewed. She LOVES modeling!

All dressed up and No where to go! But I could not resist, you just have to get fancy for Easter, even at home! Could you get any cuter!?!?!

SOOO handsome.

Tage Busy Learning New Things

Tage is making his first drawing ever! Notice the Cute look on his face, concentrating hard.

We have been working on getting Tage to weight bear on his legs for quite a while now, but last Wednesday was the first day we were able to completely let go while Tage stood by the couch. Each day since, he is able to stand for longer and longer and I think he loves it. I am SO proud of him! Yay Tager!!!

We've been trying to think of new things for Tage to play with on these last weeks of cold and flu season. Being indoors all winter, we're starting to get a little sick of playing with the same toys lately (mom more that Tage) so this morning I got out the cool whip and let Tage squish around in it a bit. We both had alot of fun and got to make a mess!

Now that Tage is finally sitting up so much better, he loves to play on his Bebe Pod tray. These cool blocks were so fun to explore. They are still a little hard for Tage to pick up but it's fun to watch mommy make tall towers and we were learning how to ask for more in sign language!

Now that we've had our eyes opened to the development of a healthy baby, we have come to appreciate even more the struggles Tage has endured. He has had to work SO hard to learn to do things that come completely naturally to healthy babies. Huntlie is only one month old now and during tummy time can already, naturally push up on her arms, lift her head high, and look all around, and she's on the vurge of rolling over. It took Tage months and months of hard work and practice before he was able to push up on his arms or roll over. These are still we work on daily in physical therapy. It makes me sad to know that Tage should not have to work so hard to do these things. But I know that overcoming all of these obstacles will make him and have made him very strong and determined. We are so proud of all of Tage's accomplishments and hard work. He really is the toughest boy I know.

All That Hair!

While laying on the floor watching Tage the other day, Huntlie lost control of one of her little hands. She put the DEATH GRIP on a patch of her own long hair. I have never heard such a horribly sad howl! She turned bright read and screamed and screamed, yet would NOT let go of her hair. I finally was able to pry her white-knuckled fingers from her scalp and calmed her down. She was traumatized completely and continued to tremble and sigh for a few minutes. Poor Sweet Baby. She did not learn her lesson and has since pulled the same trick two other times. We couldn't help to laugh but still felt bad for our silly girl.

We're usually used to a BIG family Christmas....or 3 of them to be exact. We usually travel to Sheridan County and celebrate with both my Overgaard/Ross family and my Sorenson family where there are 12-25 people at each. Then also celebrate with the Carriers when we get home. This year, to keep things GERM-FREE in our home (and because we can't get enough oxygen in the car to travel home, and I'm on bedrest...) we celebrated with 3 small celebrations at our house. On Christmas Eve, Justin's family came over for gifts, alfredo, and fun. We were blessed to be able to have Great Grandma Honey and Justin's Aunt Michelle over as well as Grandma Sara and Grandpa Kent. On Christmas Day, my mom and Mike and Jesse and Amy came over for more good food, gifts, and fun. It was a different Christmas but fun all the same. On Saturday Jan. 3rd, my Dad, Laura, and baby Hannah made the trip over ice and snow to Bozeman to celebrate with us. We had hors devors and opened gifts and played with babies. Since Tage's birthday was coming up so soon, he got to open a few birthday gifts as well. We feel so blessed to have been able to celebrate with all of Tage's grandparents this year, but are looking forward to the day when we'll be able to spend the holidays back in frigid NE Montana again too. We missed seeing all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and all of our good friends in Pwood.

Tage has been practicing sitting up by himself lately. His therapists lent us a cute little stool that is the perfect size to use as a little desk. Tage is getting stronger all the time and can now sit at his desk and play for over ten minutes at a time! Way to go little buddy!

Tage enjoyed spending his first Thanksgiving at home with Mom, Dad, Grandma Sara, and Grandpa Kent. It was a small crowd this year to help in germ control, but we still had lots of delicious food and lots of fun. Tage got a HUGE helium turkey balloon for Thanksgiving since he couldn't have any of the good food (although we did let him taste the gravy, potatoes, and fruit salad by dipping his binkie :0) His new balloon is his favorite thing these days. He will play with it for hours! He holds the ribbon and shakes his arms like crazy and watches the balloon smack around. He smiles and even laughs when he's playing with it.
We definitely have a lot to be thankful for this year!!!

In our family, we LOVE overall bibs. One of the most vivid memories of my Grandpa Norman is him working on the farm wearing his bibs. He always had on a pair of overalls, with tools, and doggy treats in his pockets. When we were kids we always wanted to wear "grandpa pants" on the farm too. So since Tage was born, Grandma Robby and I have been collecting various sizes of bibs for Tage. He finally fits into the smallest pair we have. We think he resembles Grandpa Norman too with his bald little head, cute face, and nasal cannulas. So Cute!

Another Dr.'s Appointment!

We traveled to Helena and Billings this week for more Doctors appointments! Tage HATES being in the car so we decided to try the DVD player. It worked to keep him happy for about half the trip. Tage's pulmonologist was pleased with Tage's "progress." Although his oxygen requirement has not gone down at all, we are noticing small steps in the right direction in his medication and overall breathing comfort. We have not needed to increase any medication for about a month now and have actually been weaning the steroids a little. Yay! We'll celebrate every single small accomplishment! We like having good Dr. visits!

Oh ya, Tage is now about 15 pounds 3 ounces and about 26 inches long! His corrected age today is 7 months, he is actually 10 months and 6 days.

Lately we have been cracking down and really working on physical therapy in the Carrier household. Tage has some troubles with stiff and weak muscles in his neck and left shoulder so we are always working on stretching, massage, and head control. He is showing little improvements all the time and tolerating tummy time and sitting up more and more! Way to go little buddy!

We had lots of fun dressing Tage up as a little monkey on his first Halloween! He was so cute and didn't mind being in his costume at all. The weather was beautiful so Tage, Grandma Robby, and I went on a stroller ride and looked at all of the other cuties that were trick or treating downtown. When Daddy got home we trick-or-treated at our neighbors. It was a fun first Halloween!

We've started to notice that as Tage gets older, it is harder to keep him "entertained." Sitting around just looking at his surroundings no longer interests him for very long. He has started insisting on stimulation...which is great for his growing mind and keeps his parents on the lookout for new activities. Yesterday, Tage and I did arts and crafts for the first time. We made Grandpa Kent a birthday card with Tage's foot prints on it. I was surprised at how well Tage did without too many squirms and smears. We did NOT attempt hand prints because I knew he would be too wiggly for that and I did not want him eating any paint!
Daddy decided to create a new mobile/floor gym for Tage out of pex from work. We call it the PexMobile and Tage LOVES it. It is so fun to smack at all of the hanging toys.
Justin also decided that Tage might be big enough for his jumparoo! He likes the music and toys attached but his legs are just a little too short. His feet hang about an inch off of the floor! But, it won't be too much longer...

Tage and I have been busy enjoying the cooler Fall weather. Since it doesn't get so hot, we can go on walks anytime throughout the day...between naps and feeds, that is. Some days we even get out for two walks a day. We've even gotten onto the golf course once! Tage loves being outside and looking at the all of the trees in our neighborhood. Now the fall colors are showing and I think we live in the most beautiful part of Bozeman. We've still been struggling with ups and downs on the oxygen but overall, Tage is growing, happy, and doing well.

This year has proven to be a year of babies! There have been 3 babies added to my Sorenson family...a cousin Oliver Shawn, then Tage Daniel, and finally Hannah Jade. These are the first Sorenson babies in the family since Blake about 13 years ago. How great it is to have babies in the family again.
On the Overgaard side, my cousin just had a baby on June 17th, Magdalena Sophia, 6 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long. After a grueling 2 days of harsh contractions and labor, Maggie was born. She is a sweetie who looks just like her mommy. I can't wait to make another trip to Billings to meet her in person. I was able to be there to help Lorelei through some of the labor, but in the late evening, I had to leave before the birth to get home to my own little bundle. Bummer, but I can't wait to meet her soon.

Other info......Tage is now 8 pounds.
Our nephew Tanner turned 10 on the 17th and we hope to help him celebrate tomorrow! He's excited to meet his cousin Tage.

I'll try to get some more pix on soon. Again, we are so thankful for all of our wonderful family members, grandmas and grandpas, moms and dads, brothers, and cousins, cousins, cousins!
